7900GT started acting up
I have had this for a few months now and it's been fine (minus the fact i havent used the pc in a couple of months due to moving home) and now it's started to put big and i mean big artifacts on screen.
I took the card out and tried it in another PC with vista removed my 7950gt - put in the 7900gt (my 7900gt was replaced with the 7950 as the other 7900gt i had - had a simular problem) and behold the sidebar and the glass has blue artifacts on! I have tried lowering and highering the core and memory speed. Lowering the speed makes everything ok for a couple of minutes and then it starts again. I have not been able to play World of Warcraft or Prey since. I know it is a known issue and I would like to as Scan where do I go with this? EDIT: Managed to grab an image with my camera - this is using the card on my 2nd pc with vista on and this shows clearly what's happening. this is the sidebar in vista.

It was overclocked at stock. I also sent my other 7900gt back to a local store and got a 7950gt which was cheaper.
As i said tho, it does it when underclocked. I wouldn't want another as - as i have said it happened with another i had. So the question is now what options do i have scan? EDIT: Here we go, i grabbed some of WoW (world of warcraft) also... ![]()

I got mine when they just came out actualy. So funny you should mention it.
I have an early thread on here with the problem but it seemed to solve itself but now it's back and wont go away. Thing is - after returning one already i dont feel confortable with one anymore and I think the only option I will have is a like for like. Also, mine came with a free tomb raider game, the new ones do not.

Yeap, speak to returns and get an RMA number as corruption like that usually indications graphical memory issues.
If you fill in the usual blurb HERE the returns department will be able to assist you accordingly. Best Regards,
Lee

I'll resend it to the address used on your Hexus account.
