I understand that, I'm just looking at it as an average bloke who as £260 to spend, Do i buy a new Motherboard or add £10 and get a next gen gaming system?

Up till last year your could get a top of the range Motherboard on first release for around £150 now this ones coming in at around £260

IMO PC hardware prices are rising by too much when they should be more competitive in light of the XBOX 360 and PS3 afterall it's mainly games that sell top end hardware.
