| Twisted | So I have had to use eBuyer a lot over the past few days Last week I had to RMA my satnav (speaker had stopped working) They arranged courier collection the next day and collected it from my workplace, arrived with them Friday, today it was confirmed faulty and a brand new replacement ordered (I presumed I might just get a replacement. This was discontinued however so I sent them an eNote asking to switch to a different one (newer, and cheaper). The unit in question is 11 months old which is the best bit given that it was nearly out of warranty and I got such an amazing result from their customer service I had to change the collection date originally as I wasn't at work when they set it, not wanting to call their 0845 number (barred at work and charged on the mobile) I asked them to call me, they did in 20 minutes (made sure now was convenient etc) I promptly received a reply asking if I would like a credit note for the difference (from the original transaction cost!!!) or I would like this refunded... so I am getting a refund of £22 and a brand new satnav which has just been dispatched on next day delivery via parcelforce (and I'm left with the original windscreen mount & accessories (inc memory card))Friday I ordered some bits and bobs (another 4gb set of memory, sat nav mount (wish I hadn't now! ), e-sata card and e-sata cable (and a 50cm ethernet cable for the free super-saver delivery))Memory, sat nav mount and ethernet cable arrived today first thing, and the e-sata bits should arrive tomorrow (not bad for free delivery!) I have been hesitant in the past to use eBuyer, however this has actually encouraged me to use them a bit more now if they are cheaper than other big names ( ) and I don't need the items in a huge rush |

| Re: eBuyer, positive feedback (lots) My experience has been the reverse, it took a lot to squeeze out the free shipping token from an Ebuyer representative (2 american women oddly) who claimed I was stupid and hadn't clicked on a bundle offer. In comparison I ordered some compressed air (amongst other things) from Scan and it came without the little red tube (fairly common issue) and Scan not only answered quickly, they sent out a next day replacement totally free and let me keep the original. Tbh compressed air is expensive for what it is but Scan's price is hardly out of line with other e-tailers. But on the whole my experience with Ebuyer has been good, with them for 5 years and returns have been done no problem and free delivery often comes way earlier than the stated time. Just got my Scan free delivery now though so if the price is right then I'll try scan for more stuff as I can get that free shipping margin at a much lower point (£20 at Scan vs £50 at Ebuyer). If I lived back in Yorkshire and had a car however then I'd probably pick up from ebuyer as Howden isn't too far from my hometown. And Scan is almost double away. CCl Online is also a valid choice have a pretty good Hardware team and that's maybe 10 minutes nearer. |

| Re: eBuyer, positive feedback (lots) I've only once had bad service from an etailer and (fortunately for them!) I can't remember which one now. I've bought from ebuyer, scan and dabs many times, and been happy with my purchase every time. For convenience I've tended to get everything from a single etailer each time Ive bought a batch, and I've used ebuyer for longer than the rest (because a mate recommended them many years ago) so they tend to be my first port of call. I'm a happy customer now, and (if I ever have any spare cash again!) I'm sure I will be in the future. It's particularly worth using their super-saver delivery - I've lost track of the number of times I've chosen free delivery and received stuff within a couple of working days... // // TODO: Add witty signature here // |

| Re: eBuyer, positive feedback (lots) I've also been using eBuyer a lot recently, although I have yet to test their CS properly.....I guess only time will tell. MicroDirect, OcUK, Dabs and any "eBay shop" were all struck off my list a long time ago. Personally, I'd love to buy everything from Scan but their delivery times lag behind eBuyer (I normally like stuff in a hurry).......and I have had a recent return with them that's left me a tad annoyed at their testers (as well as a fan blowing on the NF200 chip of my motherboard to stop it overheating even though they swear they couldn't replicate the fault) Main PC: Asus P6T6 WS Revo / i920 @ 4GHz / 12GB DDR3-1600 / 4870x2 + 8600GTS / Areca 1680 / Xonar D2X / Seasonic M12-700 / 2x Dell 3007 / Win 7 x64 Ultimate Main PC Raid Setup: 2 x 80GB G2 Intel SSD (OS and Apps - RAID0) / 2 x 64GB Samsung SSD (Games - RAID0) / 4 x 1TB Sumsung F1 (Mass Storage - RAID5) Spare PC: Asus Blitz Formula / Q6600 @ 3.4GHz / 6GB DDR2-6400 / 8800GTX / X-Fi Fatal1ty / Xclio 700W Modular / Dell 2405 / Various SATA drives / Win 7 x64 Ultimate HTPC: ASRock ConRoe945G-DVI / E5300 / 4GB DDR2-6400 / HD4550 / TH50PHD9 / 2 x 1.5TB Samsung F2 / LG GGW-H10N / Win 7 x86 Pro Server: Asus P5K / Q9550 / 8GB DDR2-8000 / Matrox G550 / Areca 1210 / 2 x 320GB Seagate 7200.10 / ESX 4.0 NAS: Thecus N5200 with 5 x WD6400AAKS (Modded to PRO) My latest 3DMark score | RAID Peformance | My DVD Collection |

| Re: eBuyer, positive feedback (lots) not a heavy user by any means, but the only issue I've had is when I ordered some memory and spare ink. Box arrived with the ink and no memory, but they sorted quickly and without the "really sir, the expensive bit of computer kit just wasn't in the box??" line of questioning I was expecting. (I presume their system confirmed the ram hadn't been packed) Anyway, yes they screwed up on that one order, but they dealt with it quickly and painlessly. Having a volume system getting 99% of orders out is one thing, picking up the pieces in an orderly manner when that system fouls up is another. |

| Re: eBuyer, positive feedback (lots) Ebuyer are amazing in my opinion. By far the best on-line retailer. I got a 1TB Hitachi for a mate, it was faulty on arrival, they send Parcel Force to get it. Replacement was a Samsung 1TB, again faulty, again send Parcel Force. Re-replacement was a WD 750GB (Black), worked perfect. Best thing is, their VERY swift and you don't have to pay the return delivery. Scan are good, they dealt with an RMA i had fast, didn't like how i had to pay the shipping back, luckily it was a heatsink and not a case. OverclockersUK on the otherhand, my god. They sent me a faulty MaximusIIFormula (Cost me £110 inc.) and refused to replace it. Ended up selling it for £10 + Postage. Worst thing was, i had heard the hate for them on the internet, but never believe it. But the way i was treated and the final result has made me never shop there again, same with ALOT of my mates. On a good note, Scan and ebuyer tend to be cheap and stock alot more, so it cost me £110 to realise, lol. / Rant over. |

For me their super saver 5day delivery often comes in 2 days. But I've not yet had to send anything back, so I've not encountered their CS & RMA service yet. The ebuyer site is not quite as good as scan's when you need to find stuff It's broken up fairly well in it's catagories, just not up to the level of scan's web site. Heerm hard not to mention Scan when talking about good e-tailers aka the bargin-bucket-build Is now FINISHED |

| Re: eBuyer, positive feedback (lots) Well I've been looking at motherboards recently and haveing every AM2 mother board lumped together in one block is not so helpful when you wnat to look at chipset. same goes for intel motherboards, every socket 775 in one group means a lot of digging to find all the motherboards of one paricular chipset aka the bargin-bucket-build Is now FINISHED |

| Re: eBuyer, positive feedback (lots) tbh, and I'll burn for saying so, eBuyer seem to be getting a lot faster with there CS stuff these days and are generally the only people I buy stuff from... A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. |

| Re: eBuyer, positive feedback (lots) ebuyer have been v.good for me, competitive prices usually and very good customer service, one of my main gripe is the £50 free delivery limit, but thats where scan come in as they only have £20 limit for free delivery, but anything less and there delivery is a bit expensive last time i looked, whereas ebuyer do have savers option for anything less then £50 limit they have, but both scan and ebuyer are my point of call when i need anything computery when i built my current rig bought most of the hardware from the two, competitive pricing and customer v.good service . play have been good too apart from slightly slow delivery, used some other etailers on one or two occasions like novatec and chilledpc and both were good. |
