Re: microdirect Just used them recently for memory & a graphics card, RMA'd the graphics card as it wasn't described as being Dual Slot based under DSR, no problems, just waiting for the refund, I think I'll follow it up, been about a couple of weeks.

Re: microdirect They've been around for as long as I can remember, I used to use them before overclockers and then I moved to ebuyer+scan Haven't checked their prices in a long time now but last time I checked they weren't that great compared to ebuyer

Re: microdirect Microdirect are one of the approved suppliers for Manchester University, so I use them quite a bit for (although I tend to collect items rather than get them delivered). Their service has always been good, their prices tend not to be the best, but are generally competitive (particularly for me, since I don't pay postage ). Also I doubt they'd stay on the university's suppliers list if there were any real problems with them... // // TODO: Add witty signature here //

Re: microdirect I found them to be brilliant, i had a first gen SM board i bought from them, rung them up because the mount had to have those silly xeon holes, and this wasn't mentioned in the copy + pasted from SM spec. Lady said she'd get one of the guys who's been using them to call me back, a couple of hours later, call back and they sent me via RM FC some fixers. Not too shabby at all! Have used them a fair bit, would definately recomend. throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)

| Re: microdirect Wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. I've had 2 bad dealing with their CS, the last of which was sending a X1900XTX back after 2 months (it died) and they said they could not replace it. It took me 7 months to get the refund. I just got ignored, hung-up on and given the run-around. They also have a policy of 6-8 weeks on replacements under RMA, to which I have been held to the maximum. Just hope you never have to send anything back for replacement/refund. | Re: microdirect Only used them once, a couple of weeks ago, went into store as I work in salford, bought a 9800gt, couldn't get hybridpower to work which was mentioned in the spec, took it back (they have a very strange returns procedure) and they refunded back onto card no problem. Shop is like a normal local computer shop (dark, full of rubbish and bad merchandising) as opposed to scan / aria, but I quite liked that. |

Re: microdirect Theyve been around for ages but ive never bought anything from them due to their prices (seems quite dear imo) and the fact Aria and Scan are close by too.
