    Need some DDR2 6400 low-height RAM

I'm after 2x2GB DDR2 6400 RAM but it can't be too high because of a heatsink right above it. I tried a stick of DDR RAM in there (obviously not fully in) to see if it would fit and it did and that's just under 30mm in height so assuming DDR2 is the same size any without a heatsink should fit. I just wanted to know a few things - firstly is there any point in a heatsink/spreader if not overclocking ie would RAM overheat under high load and are there any brands to avoid? Any current bargains? I found some of the cheapest prices on this page, 99p for 3 day delivery http://www.ebuyer.com/search?page=1&...9.99&ca630=4GB
    Thanks

I'd get the Crucial Ballistix, I have 2 sets... absolutely superb and it clocks V well (+ warranty also)

Get some Kingston - KVR800D2N5/2G is 2GB per module, it's half the height of normal DDR-II fits in a standard socket fine.

That is the stuff I was on about

The heatsinks so to speak are on the sides so you don't need to worry about the height over a standard dimm

Looks like you can get VLP (very low profile) RAM but I imagine it's a heavy premium
