Either way, the problem is theirs.
Of course, the easy way to deal with that problem would have been to use the Distance Selling Regs to cancel the order and tell them to collect. As they supplied alternate goods that weren't ordered, they get to pay either for your return shipping costs, or the cost of collection. That won't help you now, of course, but it's worth remembering for next time. Noli nothis permittere te terere. ![]() |

| Re: Rant about shipping/delivery My issue with delivery is that I have a job. Which is why I have money to buy things with but no time to go places to buy them. Yet most couriers assume I don't and only deliver in working hours. Any company that could give me a guaranteed 2 hour slot like my supermarket can would instantly grab all my business. |

| Re: Rant about shipping/delivery I just don't really have an address to deliver to. Plus it would look a bit wierd when i have no need to have anything delivered. There's Forums. And then there's Hexus forums |

| Re: Rant about shipping/delivery Same where I work, yet that doesn't stop the bosses having their stuff delivered there ! That said if RM special delivery is an option and isn't much more expensive than CityLink or DPD delivering then I'll take that. The sorting office is only a 15 minute walk away. If I do miss it I can either walk down, or if feeling really lazy get my Mum to do it for me and have the stuff the next day. That said DPD and Citylink have been very good to me, the CityLink driver if I'm not in will come back a few hours later, the DPD driver leaves my stuff if not in with the lady over the road |

I ordered from CCL last week and had to collect from the citylink depot - wasn't really a problem as it was open until 8pm (obviously this requires having a car..) PK |
