| Buying a pre-owned xbox 360 from gamestation I decided today was the day to get a 360. I looked up on gamestation and they where selling old 20Gb pro's for £110. So I went in and traded in about 60-70 PS2/Xbox games I had in cupboard for ages for £65~ pounds. I was then hoping to buy said pro only to be told it £139 in store and the manager wouldn't budge. So I put the trade in on to a trade in card and left. Any ideas how I can get a reduction to the online price? I wouldn't be complaining if it was a tenner but £30 is taking the micky. (Before any says buy a 60Gb model I only want one for cheap to play against my brother occasionally). Edit: Just been looking on the site - Its £110 here but £130 here but I can't see any difference? Oh and you should get a 60GB, my guess is on a used product you will get a limited warranty, and the 20GB version ala Xenon are seriously prone to RROD, for a few £'s more you could go for a 60GB and because the products are used try to locate a Jasper revision which is the latest one 12.1a rating on the little while sticker, or if you cannot find one, ask them to look out for a 14.2a Falcon revision, although the latter is still prone to RROD it does not seem to be so frequent. In the long run you will be safer buying a 60GB. |

| Re: Buying a pre-owned xbox 360 from gamestation Is a 60gb really worth it? I only ask as I've only got to find £70 to buy a 20gb. I'm not even sure if they have 60gb preowned (Certainly don't appear on line). If that really is the case I'll have to wait until christmas when I move and free up a big fuel bill as I just can't find £100+ at the moment. Am I right in saying all HDMI enabled xbox's are relativly rrod free? Are all arcades built this way? Is that a cheap route (I can then hard disk up at a later date). |
