| Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) Hey guys, Power issues are usually rare, but this year things seem to have been worse than usual. Typically a power cut lasts all of 30 seconds, but creates hours worth of damage to fix due to file system corruption, so now I'm looking to buy a UPS. I'm leaning towards the APC BR1500I, which gives an hour runtime at 100W. This should be fine for my main 24/7 server (~50W at idle), my TV server hibernating (~5W during hibernate) and a pair of CCTV cameras. Has anybody here tried this unit? I nearly pulled the trigger on this last year but was a bit concerned about power efficiency. Noise isn't an issue. My only other concern is whether I should go for one of the SmartUPS models which output a sine wave. Is square vs sine wave an issue that I should be considered about?
