| What card to get for online shopping (Japanese Yen) Planning to order some books from Amazon JP / HMV JP. Halifax want 3% for the luxury of buying overseas, Nationwide refuse to give me a debit/visa card even after being with them almost 3 years. I am tempted to go for the post office credit card but not sure if I can get it. As a student I have no fixed income and address :S Not like I don't have the money though... Some pre-paid card looks nice but I couldn't find the actual exchange rate they're charging (apart from USD/Euro). Wondering if there are any other good alternatives. | Re: What card to get for online shopping (Japanese Yen) apparently - please check - Royal Mail do a credit card that do not charge you for using it overseas and buying in foreign currencies. I've sent parcels twice in the last week and each time they tried to sell me it. I pretended to look interested |

| Re: What card to get for online shopping (Japanese Yen) I would of though prepay for the simple mind of security.. did the bank justify why they wouldn't issue you a card? .. i find it quite absurd of them! (unless you have a history...) |

| Re: What card to get for online shopping (Japanese Yen) Sorry doesn't really answer your question but not only does halifax take a share of your cash but they charge £1.50 for every foreign currency transaction! |

* Whatever you want to order, check places like YesAsia, CDJapan, etc first. Shipping from Amazon.co.jp is exorbitant. |
