    QuietPC - HEXUS Deals - May 19th 2005

QuietPC and HEXUS have teamed up in order to deliver EVEN MORE exclusive deals on the following gear for you - the HEXUS reader!

    Four Top Deals!

Zalman Fanless Watercooler RESERATOR1 (Was £158.63 now £135 inc VAT, saving you £23.64!) - http://www.quietpc.com/uk/hexus.php#reserator

The RESERATOR 1 is designed for optimal heat dissipation using Zalman's HCET (Heat Capacity Extrusion Technique) technology. As a result, this cooler achieves excellent cooling performance using natural convection, making the RESERATOR 1 the world's first fanless, but more importantly, silent water cooling system! Unlike any aircooled system, the RESERATOR 1 has the ability to keep a processor at just a few degrees above room temperature, regardless of CPU speed. This gives tremendous potential for reliability and overclocking!
Zalman 5.1 Headphones and Mic - (Was £41.12 now £29.99 inc VAT, saving you £11.36!) http://www.quietpc.com/uk/hexus.php#zmrs6f

New from Zalman, and in a departure from their reputation as a cooling and noise reduction specialist, we are delighted to announce the ZM-RS6F+M 5.1 Channel Real Surround Headphones and Microphone! But apart from being quieter than speakers, what’s so special about them? Well, unlike “simulated surround” where the full five or six channels are rather poorly simulated through conventional stereo speakers (or headphones), the Zalman Real Surround Sound Headphones produce a genuine surround field as if it is being reproduced from a complete multi-channel speaker system with separate front, rear, and centre channel speakers. The sound is clean, crisp, and all around you but right in your ears! As the perfect complement to a 5.1 surround audio card, these headphones contain no less than six speakers, which enhances discrete sound sources, directional, spatial, and realistic effects. Taking acoustic realism to new heights, truly hearing is believing!
Zalman LED Super Flower Cooler - (Was £35.25 now £29.99 inc VAT, saving you £9.73!) http://www.quietpc.com/uk/hexus.php#7000b

The CNPS7000B "Super Flower" builds on the success of the 6000 series, and offers the same low-noise 92mm fan, but this time integrated into the heatsink itself. Available for Pentium 4, Athlon 64 and Athlon XP, its radical design offers unparalleled efficiency even when its fan is running in "Silent mode" (a mere 1,350 rpm). When it comes to cooling in silence, there is nothing to touch the Zalman Super Flower.
And finally, one last fantastic HEXUS.deal!

Zalman Multi Fan Speed Controller - (Was £17.63 now only £15.00 inc VAT, saving you £2.64!) - http://www.quietpc.com/uk/hexus.php#zmmfc1

If you like to be in control of your PC's cooling system, you need the six channel ZM-MFC1 from Zalman. It permits variable speed control of up to four fans plus 3-way toggle switches for up to two further fans. The LEDs on each channel indicate fan operation and speed through change in colour and intensity.
These deals not hot enough for you? Get in touch and suggest what you would like to see on offer next week!

Just checked the logs and it doesn't look like we have reviewed it before, but they look sweet. I want a pair!

Yes i am also interested in those headphones.

However do they work via sound card, or do they work through USB? I.e. can i run my soundcard at the same time, or do i have to put these coming from the built in audio?

    Many Thanks

    Ian

Im actually a bit put off at the postage costs, £30 would be fine, any more... and poof

I've had the headphone and was pretty disappointed with them.

The 5.1 positioning is fantastic and for games and DVD's they're ok, but forget about using them for music.

Far too much treble and zero bass.

Replaced the with the Speedlink Medusa's.

Much better sound quality overall and fantastic bass. Watch the opening beach landing sequence of Saving Private Ryan and they literally shake on your head everytime a mortar hits the water!

Zalman's are good headphones they just lack that "omph".

I second what GJS said - the positioning was good, but were very trebly, seemed to lack any bass. I sent them back to quiet pc and got a refund.#

Great price on the reserator - would love to see the gpu zalman flower cooler on hexus offers - got a noisy arctic cooler i want to replace, but they are bit pricey at the standard price.

They literally shake? Does that mean they have those cheesy, tacky vibration units to simulate bass? I hope not as thats a terrible idea, if it is driver-driven bass/vibration then thats good
