Hey folks,

Used computers for years, done the odd swapout of the graphics card and what have you, but had never built my own.

Until 2 weeks ago.





Took me a while to get the cables right, and im still not happy with the CPU power cable, i need to get an extender for it or something.

Have you tried placing it underneath the motherboard itself? that normally works quite well.

Ah!

Never thought of that, not sure it'll fit though, its an 8 pin connector and the wire is rather fat, may be worth a try next time im fooling about in there however, thanks.


Last night i had a bit of a fiddle and spiral wrapped the usb port/firewire port/audio and the fan power cables with black spiral wrap, was a bit of a fiddle but it has made a huge difference.

Heres my humble Set up... (I need a damn window! Anyone here has one???) Plus i wanna ask.. are those acoustipack (sound damperner) pads really that effective? or should i not bother with them?

Excellent price if they have stock! I had a Leadtek 640MB card on order from XTSIT.com for a similar price, but I had to cancel the order as they had no stock and did not respond to my requests for expected stock dates. Had to get a BFG from Overclockers in the end.

went good as you can see cabling is a little messy and not to sure anout the intel audio cable, its quite short going across the middle there. I also should have routed the rear fan behind mobo but too late now :/

Case is brill, its soo cool inside the intel fan hardly spins which is worrying but bios temps of 30ish

Keep meaning to post in here, mind you like alot before me it seems taking pics reminds you of stuff you should have done. Note to self, clean under watercooling res.

second not to self, don't take flash pic of mirror surface as it makes it look like you have a bunch of wires everywhere.
