PowerColor take on the heat

We've happened across a new cooling product from PowerColor which might come in handy for those of you with a warmer case than you'd prefer. The 'HeatBuster' comprises of a system blower, much like we've seen before and is now adopted on some graphics cards, but added to that is a directional fan which blows air inside the case.

Point the second fan at wherever the warm-spot in your case is, and keep it cooler. Clever, eh?

PowerColor reckon it will allow the majority of the case to keep closer to ambient, ensuring all PC components are as cool as possible.

Whoa thats quite clever - its like a combination of two ideas in one, both of em good! Now probably the biggest question is how quiet it is?

Looks gimmicky to me - will either be loud or ineffective, quite probably both.

One thing you have to think about - The exhaust blower only moves a *fraction* that the unidirectional fan can move, therefore being somewhat contradictory - the exhaust fan would probably be overpowered by the unidirectional fan if it (the uni) was pointed toward the front of the case.

In other words, the exhaust fan is somewhat weak specification wise. I also wish there was a way to put the exhaust fan in reverse - draw air in instead of push air out.

lol at the temperature drops they have put on their site, i really find that hard to beleive it drops the CPU by 3 degC and without it over 10 drops in areas. waste of money in my opinion

simple but effective solution.

but nothign a well placed fan couldnt do better and quieter.
