Question Sky Broadband - anyone actually using it?

searched for threads, but not much. Am currently on plus.net (have been for 5 years) but Sky contacted me today, and the 40GB for 5 quid is quite tempting

they also said I could use my own hardware if I wanted, which is a big issue - don't want their USB wireless modem, quite frankly

anyone currently happy with the service?

    TIA

Go to www.skyuser.co.uk to find out more.

Apparently, 170,000 subscribers have signed up for the broadband service within the first 2 months of the new service - that's a lot of people!

I'm on their MAX service (unlimited downloads, up to 16Mb connection, 10 quid a month, free router) and a bit of messing about I get a nice 5.5Mb connection.

Oh, and forget the 'use your own router' - that's rubbish. They send you a (Sky) badged Netgear DB324GT and only support that.
This hot girl came over to myspace last night, she twittered my yahoo till I
googled all over her facebook. Ask Jeeves...

    thanks for the reply

yep, they told me they only support the netgear, and if I decide to use my own, it won't qualify for support, BUT I'm free to use it
