    Quad Core Thread.

I'm guessing a few people will be grabbing one of these now they are more affordable, so here goes...

First results, only got it this afternoon, so nothing major.

    Less than stock volts.

are the quad cores supposed to clock as well as the dual cores?

    Thats seems pretty good though.

should probably change your my system thingy then
looks pretty nice. pity it isn't a quad core die instead. not bad clockings for ~ 0.1v less.

    This thread needs piccies

Synthetic benchmarks aside, is there a visible improvement over dual core? Don't answer that, I'm kidding myself. I'll not be able to resist quads when I get my bonus.

No improvements so far, but all ive done is bench it really. There is some noticable lag/jerkiness with those new nvidia drivers (158.19), and that is making things a bit fugly.

Ive just updated the bios on the motherboard and that hasnt done anything that I can see.

I'll post any findings as soon as I find them

    how are your PWM temps?
the extra current draw of quads can send them skywards.

Not entirely sure mate, I put some different heatsinks on them earlier and they are fairly hot to the touch, but dont feel any more than usual. Asus probe doesnt show the PWM temp either.
