    what 775 cooler?

i'm planning on having a new upgrade soon, and i've decided i need to replace the stock cooler on my C2D, not for noise reasons mainly, but mainly for overclocking purposes and i was thinking about a scythe of some sort.

So i was wondering what was the best out there at the moment.

the best is the gemini cooler or artic cooler 7 for high air overclocks

for general overclocking the zalman 9500 and 9700or a scythe ninja

for ultimate overclocks phase cooling should get your cpu down to -15 on average

You're suggesting the AC7 is better than the Scythe Ninja? :|

The Tuniq Tower is widely regarded as the best and the thermalright 120.

The artic freezer 7 is very good for the money though.

it's almost identical to the arctic freezer 7 pro.

One is slightly louder than the other.

i have a ninja, very good they are. just make sure your case is wide enough to take one!!
(and that you have clearance around your mobo for it, i had to move my ram to other slots to accomodate the 120mm fan)

I can vouch for the Tuniq tower 120, running my E6600 @ 9*400 & it's only making 52-55c under full load even for a couple of hours.

2 of the best coolers around from what I've read are the TT 120 and the Thermalright Ultra 120.

    Basically your choices are:

Cheap but does the job well : Arctic freezr 7

Cools your ram and PWM etc aswell as being with the coolers below: coolermaster geminii (ive got one )

Or its a straight fight between the tuniq tower, thermalright ultra 120 and the scythe ninja.

I had the Thermalright Ultra-120 and that was really good, but make sure it fits in your case as it is big.

Quality wise I would say yes and you get what you pay for.

I personally don't like the scythe range
