    x1950 fan ?

Does anyone know of a descent fan / heatsink for a x1950, the one that came with the card is LOUD ...and LOUD...with an extra bit of LOUD added . I remember back in the day placing on a 6800 a quieter fan etc...so figured there must be a Zalman type situation. I would prefer to hear from someone who has already done it as i saw the ones on scan zalmans and they say they are not suitable for 1950 but acording to zalman direct they are. Anyone with any experience of this.

Go to VGA cooling. You will need a 92mm fan but at least you can choose a quiet one

    For a review.
I was that impressed I am going to get one for XTX I have and I might consider the 8800 version as well.

Note it takes up a large amount of space as you see from the pics in the review

Arctic Cooling Accelero X2 for active cooling, or Accelero S1 for passive cooling, both should be silent

I use the thermalright on my 1950XTX passive..., never goes above 80 degrees but I do run the MATX Silverstone case with 12cm fans very close to it

Would the Papst 3412 N/2 GLLE be ok for the Thermalright HR-03 Rev A

    stats are
    Flow Rate: 19CFM
    1150RPM
    Noise level: 12 dBA

Or would I need something with a little more CFM? I guess anythings gonna be better than the stock cooler tho.

If your not overclocking and have good ventilation in your case then tbh you could fart on it and that would be enough

hehe, I'm not OCing at all and I have an CM 830 with 1 120mm over the gfx card at the moment. Could I get away with running it passive? Not all that fussed about how hot it gets as long as it is stable, just want to get rid of the noise.
