    Corsair VX450W PSU

Power supplies rated towards 1kW and beyond are overkill for the majority of users. What they want are reliable, efficient, quiet PSUs that are able to provide ample power to their systems without putting too much of a dent in their wallets.

And that's what Corsair's promising with its VX450W, pitched at around £45. We check it out to see if it delivers what's needed.

Sorted. This will be my power supply of choice for any single GPU system I can imagine in the next few years. The higher current on a single rail will be far better for stability with modern graphics cards than dual rails.

i notice that you comment about the 5 yr warranty, but it costs more to ship it to the usa then it would to buy a new one which kinda makes it worthless

But if you buy from SCAN - you can of course claim warranty via them...?

They'll only let you claim the 1st year with them though.

We're working on a Euro distribution hub so you guys can RMA directly to there instead of shipping all the way back here.

We've been working on it for a bit and will announce it when all the logistics have been worked out.
