    I always fancied these:-
    Creative 3330 http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=579446

But in the end I went for these logitec

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=281082

I got them with a gift voucher from a local store, the creative's were not available.

I am happy with the quality, but I have never watched a movie with them, trailers sound good. Sound is balanced accross the range for most, however I have found the bass a little too much on some occasions.

    Re: Best 2.1 Speaker System

Is there a reason you only want 2.1? For £100 you could get a 5.1 system easily. I personally bought a £50 5.1 system a couple of years back and love them. Optical input, digital coaxial, DTS and Dolby digital decoder. I have it connected to DVD player, TV, XBOX, PS2 and PC, and love it!

I have the Acoustic Energy Aego's and they are the best £90 I have ever spent. Easily up there with £200+ systems, heavy, heavy set of speakers which is always a good thing. If you buy them you will not be disappointed.

I had Creative Labs Inspire 5300 which were excellent untill they stopped working, I think the main box packed up!!!

they take up too much space on my desk so I have decided to go for a good set of 2.1 instead.

I hope I'm making the correct chioce

i had them and i hated every second of it, completely void of mid-frequencies and the cut off for the sub is quite high. I am a bit obsessed with sound quality though so i get picky!

I say go for the altec lansing, very very accurate speakers for the money, often compared to Boss systems!

Oh well the only problem I've found with these are the bass can sometimes be to loud but other then that the sound is great with an X-FI
