    Faulty Asus 1814BLT

    Hi,

Just wondering how I should go about returning the Asus 1814 BLT lightscribe dvd burner I bought from Scan a few months back.

My problems with this drive started when it would only burn DVD's at 1x, and CD's at 5x.

A new fault has developed where it refuses to recognise all CD's (CD-r, cd-rw, audio cd), but it recognises DVD's without any problems.

The CD discs are not recognised in My Computer or Nero.

I have the most up-to-date motherboard bios installed, I've tried booting from my Windows CD, and I've also recently installed the updated Asus 1814BLT 1.13 firmware. The drive still refuses to recognise CD's.

    Regards
