Re: News - Apple uncovers faulty NVIDIA graphics in MacBook Pros

to be honest i've been reading about the problems NVidia have been having on the gossip site that is the Inq. Sounds like someone really screwed the pooch and lied to their consumers.

This could of happened to any manafacturer (and you know how i love to slate apple).

What will be intresting is will a fabless AMD have better quality control with its outsourcing?

Will the fan boys be still happy to pay waaay over the odds for the same build quality as every other laptop on the market?

    Time will tell

Re: News - Apple uncovers faulty NVIDIA graphics in MacBook Pros

I have a 2.2 Macbook Pro with an M8600GT bought approx last nov + havent had any of the affor mentioned issues.

Regardless, we stand by our products, thus the reason why we set aside such a large reserve, and we have and will continue to work closely with Apple and their customers.
Does this comment seem odd to anyone else? if you stand by your product soo much why would you need such large reserves, or have i got the wrong end of the stick here?

its suggested that NVidia knew full well what was happening, and some of its partners are having to share the cost.
