Guitar hero needs some kind of subscription service and a solid platform before it completely jumps the shark in my opinion, putting out four full price games a year when most of the content could be put out as DLC is exactly the kind of money grabbing tactic that'll lead to the franchises early demise.

I totally agree and this is why I like rock band as they have a good DLC content which is updated most the time on a weekly basis.

GH has one huge issue. The game mechanics are slightly different on differing platforms.

I play GHWT on my PS2, but when I play the same game on the PS3, all my timings are out. Even on songs I know.

    This needs sorting.

I can't speak for WT having not played that on PS2 but I know GH3 didn't suffer from that problem, have you checked to make sure the latency is set up right on both consoles?

Re: News - Guitar Hero 5 revealed! Partial track list unveiled

Depending on the songs I may get it. I do enjoy GHWT on the PS3. Mind you it is my first console based band game so I wouldn't know about the problems others have in comparing it to other consoles.

I agree with Knox about DLC, but GH needs an overhaul in a few aspects IMO to make it better.

I like the DLC GHWT has on the PS3, same with Rock Band weekly additions. Although for a pack of 34 songs its around £4.
