The first thing I did, anyway, was to get rid of Internet Explorer tabs all appearing when hovering over the iexplore icon. I have far too many tabs to do that, and use windows to differentiate between groups of tabs.. works much better!
Although Firefox is ftw, of course.
On page two you say:
"Take, for example, the tooltips for minimise, maximise and close. For some unknown reason, they appear in the old Windows XP style, with a cream-coloured background and a square box (pictured above, right). They should, by all accounts, be uniform with the updated tooltip design, featuring a whiter background and rounded edges (pictured above, left)."
The thing is though that this is exactly the same in Vista, so I don't think its an item that's been overlooked I just think its a design choice.
Great review guys, really told me about everything I wanted to know
Looking forward to playing with it now - just wish it would hurry up and arrive! Why oh why didn't I order from PC World...?

well at least ive found something to read while i wait for my copy to arrive ^_^
Having been using win 7 rtm for a couple of months I must say libraries are the best feature of win 7. Also like the hover over task bar to show application windows which when also hovered over show that window on screen as the only app.
Other than that just like a slightly quicker Vista...
