i read somewhere that it will be $500. not sure how competitive this is to the ipad. the ipad is killing off e-ink based readers (true ereaders) by forcing all the me "too copycats" imitate a really confusing device (an expensive.... something)
There are a few hybrid devices coming though so not all is lost ATM.

Just had to clarify this: Apple is not the inventor of tablet pcs, they just made them popular... so in that sense, you could say that apple is a ''me too copycat'', just did it better than those before them, and that's what innovation is all about.
P.S. tablets, that ''something'' you mentioned, are not that confusing, not at all... and I'll leave it at that.
