Love the PC version but it's probably £50 too much for me. Much better piece of kit than Apple TV imo though (not sure about GTV yet but the only vids I've seen for that weren't too impressive).

Agree with post above, it's a little steep.

I don't get what these devices do at all (if it is in the same category as apple tv and google tv).

Why would I want something like this over popcorn hour or a youview box?

Would be nice if it was a normal sized box how is that going to fit under most peoples TVs like say an apple tv? its a bit steeply priced in my eyes considering its essentially an atom pc, you could build an ION box cheaper and just install Boxee no?

I've got a WDTV Live and I can't see why I people would get a Boxee which costs significantly more.

Looks like it would be pretty awkward to fit it anywhere..

Re: News - Boxee Box gets a UK ship date

I've got a popcorn hour a200 and generally am dissappointed with it (hopefully the new firmware will sort things out though) but in answer to why you'd want the boxee box over the popcorn hour I would say it's because the interface is light years ahead of anything on the popcorn. the one caveat being that you need to have your media on an usb drive or server. I also have an original xbox running xbmc and that too is so much better than the popcorn(except for the lack of hd playing). I'm fairly sure the wdtv live doesn't have a rich interface like xbmc or boxee either

You'd buy it for the significantly superior user experience.
