I suppose the powered-off sound input is a novel idea, even if I'm struggling to come up with a real-world use. I guess one scenario might be if one of the USB ports could charge a device while the netbook is powered down, then you can use an MP3 player through the speakers while charging it... that's grasping at straws somewhat though, and heavily relies on one of those USB ports.

Tosh’s netbooks are well regarded for being pretty well built and having fairly excellent keyboards and we’d hope that these new models live up to that legacy.
    Fairly excellent?

Are they fairly average or do they excel?

Both should arrive some time in the first quarter of next year, although pricing hasn’t been announced just yet.
In a couple of words, too expensive.

I'm reluctant to call any netbook keyboard excellent, but for the class, Tosh's keyboards are renowned for being comfortable, well laid out and with minimal flex.

I've seen much fewer Toshibas in the workshop than pretty much any other mainstream brand (Samsung seem pretty decent as well). It's just a shame these don't have expresscard like Lenovo's first netbooks. Dual-core Atom's would be enough for a basic sketch pad for audio recording or Photoshop/Paint.NET. But yeah, the resolution sucks also.
