Not surprised - I've had problems with both the technical support folks and customer services (made the mistake of trying to change bank details). They really are utterly useless! And can someone please explain why my account seems unable to consistently send texts to folks who aren't on 3 (e.g. sent a code to CokeZone one weekend, and the following weekend I couldn't - no explanation given, the send just fails after 5 minutes).3 UK tops Ofcom complaints chart
Now that I find interesting - given the level of dissatisfaction expressed in these comments. Or is it just that people have given up complaining about them? The least complained about provider was Virgin Media with 0.20 complaints per 1000 customers.
Me and Wife were both on three for a number of years. Never had too many issues. Signal would drop suddenly quite often though, data and voice. One minute you'd have full signal then none in the same spot.
Changed bank details once online, worked fine. Had issue with the customer service in our local store once, big issue. Faulty phone straight from the box and they wanted to send it of for repair. They really tried to dig their heals in on it too - got our way in the end only by the customer service on the phone emailing the manager.
Because of this one issue I've not renewed and moved to T-mobile. Wife won't be renewing either on three.
T-mobile customer service is terrible though and also their terms and conditions are well dodgy. Wish I hadn't taken a 24 month contract with them. Although signal is very good, they cap data speeds, they compress images from the web and you'll never get told the truth.
Damnit... The day I sign up for talktalks phone and broadband package I learn they're the most complained about? I hope I don't have any issues with them.
My wife is on 3 and its just a waste of time! No signal anywhere, they offer lots of minutes and internet for a low price becuase they know their signal is so poor you can never use it all!!
Oh and TalkTalk are a nightmare!!! My work have 10 ADSL lines with a company that was bought out by Talk Talk, it has gone quickly downhill and at times we can be on hold for 3 hours only to be cut off or passed around department to department. I once spoke to 6 different departments to try and get an issue fixed only to eventually be cut off.

Why in God's earth didn't you do your research. It's been known for a long time that Talktalk is terrible. A couple of weeks ago they called me advertising their cable broadband service. THERE IS NO WAY THEY CAN HAVE CABLE!
I'm on Virgin Media at the moment and couldn't be happier, get the advertised speed 99% of the time. It's a shame I can't afford the 50Mb/s. They do however throttle which annoys me, if you go over 1.5GB download during the afternoon, they throttle your speed to 25% of the original stated speed! It's not the end of the world though, still 2.5Mb/s download. I have to wait till after 9pm to do any torrents. If you have their 50Mb/s service you aren't subjected to the throttling!
I heard they were bad, but didn't think they racked up so bad vs BT etc... Just moved house and BE* (my current ISP) aren't available in the area I moved to so I went for the cheapest option to save money.. (plus bt/sky could only provide 8mb and talktalk say they can provide 12mb, and plusnet have crappy limits like 60gb/month)

I've had problems with Three myself - missold the price of the contract (was told VAT wouldn't affect me, and it did). Since they refused to adjust the pricing, they may have noticed my data usage go up significantly as I ceased to use my Wifi for anything. 3G is faster anyway, my wifi is rubbish!
One good thing about three is their data speeds are very very good in strong signal areas
