Re: News - Intel really wants you to buy an Ultrabook

The more alternatives in the market to Apple, the more choices that consumers can make. I'm not convinced that the ultrabook as a consumer model is a winner, but the right size to weight ratio, and processing power could make for an ultimately portable, powerful workhorse for work, which, as a software consultant, would be invaluable. Having a machine big enough to work on for long periods, but with the power under the hood to run a sharepoint\sql server database would be immense. Current models are great but hugely unwieldy!

i agree with tatty, apple's dominance is annoying, dont get me wrong they make very good products, but i like uniqueness in my purchases & when everyones got my new expensive purchase it puts a damper on things!

They are too expensive. In many cases the MacBook looks better value!!
