Erm, nice to see that IBM are continuing a mini-trend, after all we also had Meg Whitman recently take over as CEO at HP - another "large company".This announcement is seen as big news in the business world, as few women have ever been placed in charge of such a large company.
Don't count myself as a feminist, but I'd like to see women represented more at the top of the business world.
There was also the one at Yahoo

Oh, too true - unless it's +ve discrim due to ability - meritocracy.
Lord save us from those that think "quotas" on basis of gender, race, religion, etc are a good idea.
That said, I'll know that "equality" has been achieved when Scott Adams' pointy-haired boss gets a female version.
As long as she can do the job well as ceo of ibm who cares Will wait to see what the shares trends are before i invest though
nice to see. I wonder if there has been any fluctuations in IBM stock?
