Android has definitely got good traction with regard to tablet devices, have to thank the kindle fire for that.
My whole family is currently loving the Asus Transformer (TF101), best Christmas present by far.
However any chance of a round-up between all these tablet type processors please e.g. ARM Cortex vs Tegra 2 vs Tegra 3 vs Rock Chip etc.
No idea of advantages and disadvantages to any of them, perhaps they are so similar it doesn't really matter.
ARM Cortex is a type of processor / instruction set - like the x86 CPUs that Intel and AMD make. Tegra 2 and Tegra 3 are both based on Cortex designs. RockChip are a chip manufacturer (like AMD / Intel) and they produce chips based on a varity of ARM instructions - most current tablets with RockChip CPUs are ARM11 designs (older than Cortex)
The Cortex A8 in these tablets is on a par with older (2 years+) high-end smartphones like the HTC Desire / Acer Liquid / XPeria X10 / Nexus One - a single core 1GHz processor. It's a fair bit slower than modern phone chips, but still plenty for the kind of web browsing, media playback and casual games that these tablets are designed for. If these come in at something near the £75 they should exchange to, they'd be a decent buy.

How much is 1GM of RAM? Is that like a GigaMeg of RAM or soemthing?
Actually you're not quite right either. According to GSM Arena (and others):
Xperia X10: Chipset: Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon, CPU: 1 GHz Scorpion
Xperia X10 Mini (2011 model): Chipset: Qualcomm QSD8255 Snapdragon, CPU: 1 GHz Scorpion
Xperia X10 Mini (2010 model): Chipset: Qualcomm MSM7227, CPU: 600 MHz ARM 11
If my X10 had only 600MHz processor then I'd have ditched it by now... Included both "Mini" models because (confusingly enough) Sony reused the "Mini" and "Mini Pro" names for two (slightly different) phones.
well technically yes...however you don't see the x10 branding on the new models to stop confusion!
I have a 2010 model...
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
