    Mixing DDR ram brands

I currently have 512mb DDR400 twinmos ram installed & im looking to add another 512mb but having difficulty finding some more Twinmos, would it be safe to use ram from another company or will they conflict ?

    ta

*edit* i would still be using DDR400

Provided you stay way from "no name" brands, you should be fine.
In rare cases, incompatibilities do happen, although BIOS updates often fix them.

ADATA is fairly good RAM on its own, but ive never mixed it with others, so i cant comment on that.
Have you looked at www.crucial.com/uk ?

If I was you, i'd try and find the exact same model Twinmos you already have, you will then be able to run in dual-channel mode, which (in my case) is a fairly large boost in memory performance. (if you have a dual channel motherboard that is )
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

You dont need the same model.
You dont need the same brand.
You dont even need the same size.

    Please, let the myths die.

    Good to here

If i buy 512mb 3200 crucial then i shouldn't (in theory) have any problems running it with my 2*256 then winbond should i. Hope not because another stick of winbond will cost be £30 more which is a bit steep compared to crucials £61 delivered.
