Interesting. Obviously need some performance data but the simple fact is that most users do not need a fraction of the power modern computers are capable of. A desktop pc with a TDP of 15W is clearly achievable that would meet needs of 75% of all users and even play some games. For laptops the goal is to get TDP down to under 10W and while the AMD chips which achieve that look a little underpowered it is clearly within the sights of both Intel and AMD

The fact that the Xbox One and PS4 use Jaguar cores shows how far low power chips have come in terms of perforamance/power usage.

As always it will depend on how well it's implemented by the OEMs but the A4-1200 and A6-1450 will be interesting to compare to the next-gen Atoms and low power Core chips due later this year. The A4 would probably only have to compete with Atom but the A6 could be up against the bottom of Core ranges and have to make the most of graphics prowess and lower cost to compete for a niche. It'll be interesting to see what produces the best balanced devices...

Yes... 8 of them and high speed RAM required though, they might be low power individual cores but its far from a low power configuration of them.
