Don't care about the DLC, they have ruined the game for me already. Too many times have friends and I had to abandon areas because one or multiple cities will not load/unaccessable.

You know I bought this game and I still haven't gotten round to actually playing it.
It's a pity though, everywhere I go I still see negative comments about it.
I thought they fixed all the issues

Take a look at the updates page, and look in amazement at the 18 or so patches since the game was released.

Re: News - First Sim City DLC announced, taking you 50 years into future

I bought this game as I love the Simcity series and I did think at the time the large city thing was just people have a good moan but oh dear it really really restricts what you can do and as such took a lot if not all the enjoyment out of the game for me.

I have probably only played it for a few hours since I got it from release :/

Exactly, this game could be sooo much better if only we were able to build large cities and you wont have to abandon cities cause of a bug. I stopped playing not long after game was released because playing it was simply annoying.

Will one of technologies be some form of regenerative water supply or desalinization?

Also will sims from the future be smart enough to drive across the street to get to the shops?
