If they release a Surface Mini with Bay Trail and full Windows, then I'm definitely interested. RT is a no buy. That said, if they don't announce one soon I might buy a Bay Trail tablet before a Surface one is released, and that would be a pity. I do like the keyboard cover idea.

I find it very hard to get excited about tiles no matter what hardware they're on -_-

Check out the recently announced Dell Venue 8 Pro and 11 Pro. They're baytrail, full windows and have soft cover with built in keyboard as accessories a la Surface cover. The 11 Pro also has a full dockable laptop keyboard with extra battery. And they have desktop docks too. And the 11 Pro comes with full SSD too, not slow eMMC. And it has dual band ac wifi. And it's 1080p. Likely a lot cheaper than the Surface 2 as well. Specs look great.

Thanks Noli. Had my eye on the Venue 8 Pro since it was first shown. I only recently saw that it has an optional keyboard (and stylus), though from what I understand it doesn't have a dock, unlike the 11. (Would probably have seen it a bit sooner if I had read your reply.
