An X!

When is this!!!Hexus:
Rest assured that reviews for these upcoming cards will be released the minute that it is permissible to do so.
Where did the second one come from ?
Don't know whether to get the 290X or wait a while until Nvidia Maxwell cards come out next year... hard choice.
Novel was of getting around an NDA by posting a 'rumour' from another site.
If you've already done the review and are waiting on the go button from AMD you surely know if they're genuine or not!
Upgrading from a HD6970 I look forward to the reviews
It seems the R9 series has 64 ROPS:

Possible pricing

These cards are looking really good; should start getting competitive. I'll be looking to get one second hand in about 2015.
Sigh.
Same number added X should not be hardware with different numbers of stream processors, an X should just denote extra clocks or super cooling etc, it's just confusing having parts with actual physical differences labelled with the same basic model number.
The specs look tasty.
Tahiti and Hawaii compared:

Also,it seems Tahiti was smaller than we expected as many people saif it was 365MM2.
It seems Hawaii is much less geometry limited than Tahiti, and IIRC this was a limitation of the latter when compared to the current Nvidia GPUs.
The R9 290X seems to $600:

The shop has leaked prices before and they have been accurate.
So,with VAT that means around £450.
When is the NDA being lifted?
Part of NDA restriction in some cases is date when info will be coming.
