whitetop (12-11-2013)
pity im still happy with my nexus 7 1gen
£180 for this 1280x800 and 1GB or £200 for the nexus 7? nexus 7 it is, if only for the 2GB and 1920x1200 resolution. As usual anything Nvidia is overpriced, it seems they have killed the spec to accommodate the high price of the tegra 4.

There is £20 off at pcworld on this tablet bringing the price down to £159. See details on the product page.
Battle of the partners once again....Que EVGA Classified edition!
The display has a ppi of 217, then, not great but not bad. As always, it depends what you want a tablet-for viewing photos one with a better resolution may be the way to go, but this might be a good choice for gamers with the chipset.
A bit on the heavy side, though.
I'm not sure whether I like this or not, on the one hand having a fairly beefy processor is nice as is microSD, micro HDMI, a stylus, etc. but 1GB of RAM on a gaming tablet? It's also priced pretty close to the nexus 7 2013.
Pretty impressive. I think I'll stick with going for a Tesco Hudl if I can get the £60 of vouchers together for a £60 overall price as I can't imagine a style being *that* useful for myself yet.
But I think it's great that nvidia are pushing the competition - should result in better more innovative tablets down the line...
They could have just painted it red!We are informed that the Stylus response is “3X faster”
I guess it would make a nice portable gaming & emulation machine. The T4 should be a faster than the N7's S4pro, especially driving a smaller screen. think of it as a Shield with a bigger screen and bring-your-own-gamepad.
1GB RAM on this was pretty daft. I'm also less than convinced that not using a pressure sensitive stylus was a great idea. Just bought a Note 8 for a relative and that was a £100 more expensive - although the Tegra Note has a smaller, but higher resolution screen.
Like the price though - £180 retail for something that should be a darned good game player, (and uSD support means plenty of space). Definitely prefer this to a Nintendo DS, even though the latter is a little bit cheaper.
Will an advent be any good, even for that price?
Hmm not quite convinced, i'm still waiting for a decent 8 inch android tablet
I guess this form factor is good for gaming, and the price does seem to be reasonable
