Should do a low spec - streaming only version with a basic AMD APU. I'd buy one of those in a heart beat. I just couldn't justify £600 to buy a second PC when I've already got an ok spec PC...
So basically it's a 1U rack mount case with a fancy bezel and a vesa mounting kit?
Revolutionary</sarcasm>

The prices that are coming out with these boxes isn't quite what I imagined and for the money a lot of people would probably quite happily stick with what they have?

I think I'd rather glue a PS4 to the back of the TV for a similar effect at 4/10ths the cost.
This isnt for people that already have good PCs. Its for people looking for an alternative to next gen consoles. If you already have a powerful PC, you want something similar to what cheesemp and I are looking for; a very low power streaming only device, should cost about £80 and be tiny.
You forget that PC games at launch cost half that of PS4 launch prices. Then take steam sales (and 3rd party like GMG which are even cheaper) into account and within 1-2 years you've already saved money, and done so with a superior system with much better graphics than either next-gen console, and the Steam OS will likely get more app support as Valve will likely allow an almost open source approach to app development/support.

Just editing this post so it makes more sense.
As I said for the same money people would probably stick with what they have got, however I was looking at something for the lounge for the kids, not as a replacement for my current unit, which I do 3d work and gaming on and rather have something the kids could use in the lounge.
I am not looking for a next gen console, and I already have a good PC so not sure why your saying its not for people that already have good pc's as I am one of the prospective buyers.

Do 1U PSU's still sound like jet turbines? I suspect that anything short of 800W will get hot pretty quick with a high end gfx card running.
Seems like a bit of an oversight!
Lol, I would like to see how they will handle the cooling. Two small laptop blowers are definitely not enough for a titan and i7.
Has anyone confirmed the Pi would be able to become a SteamOS streambox yet? I've got one going unloved on my desk.
Diablo (Main PC): Corsair Air 540; Gigabyte Z77-D3H; i5 3570k @ 4.4Ghz; 16Gb Corsair Vengeance PC3-12000; 120Gb Samsung 840 EVO; EVGA 980 Ti Hybrid; 2x Dell U2414H; Windows 10 x64.
Imperius (VM Server): 2x Intel 5640, 64Gb RAM, 2x1Tb, 6x Intel NIC, VMware ESX 5.5
Tyrael (File Server): Synology DS410 w/ 4x HD154UI; 2Gb RAM; DSM 5.2
Pretty neat concept. But I think I'll stick with my PC.
£600 is pretty good price...and it looks sleek.
