Given the length of time Princeton has been in existence compared with Facebook, I'd lay odds that Princeton will outlive Facebook.

If facebook died tommorow it wouldnt change my life at all.
Im sure it will die sooner or later as the latest and greatest fad will take over.

IIRC there was Talkomatic etc even before IRC, but those early chat tools were more LAN than WAN so maybe they don't count.
