Congratulations showing me the entire classic in a very short time although after seeing an entire speed run in which certain parts were jaw dropping and flying most of the time through hidden holes and completed the game just like that. And only just 1-2 minutes were standing still rest of the time it was like a rabbilt on a power trip.
Wow, that's some good going.
Haven't watched the video yet but I do enjoy watching speed runs of games (they are so pointless but that's neither here or there).
Crazy to think that the whole of HL1 can be completed in such a short time.

i literally never even played hl1 because I couldn't be bothered sitting through the dumb ass train ride. isn't that at east 21 minutes long?
317 segments ? and too many mods scripts and glitches used.
Better single segment play:

Impressive, though without having sound on I'm not sure if this is answered in some way... Isn't most of that only possible due to the bug that gives 4700+ hp? The insane movement and shooting skills were very fun to watch, though!
Eh? This is so pointless. They don't even shoot any of the aliens they just run away from like 90% of them because they've got some mod that makes them move incredibly fast...not really completing the game properly is it?
My head hurts!
The mod in question reintroduced a bug which was fixed in 2001. I'm going to call it a legitimate strategy - they could have used an unmodded version patched up to pre-2001 levels, but this is more convenient.
And as for tools in general, TAS is an accepted genre of speedrun.
Neat accomplishment, I guess. But this isn't what I would really call a play through... now, if they could make that run on a stock version of the game, with human only interaction (read: no scripts and associated software) it would truly be impressive.
It's very impressive, but I do have reservations. With the cheats being used, why would it be any less impressive than using noclip and zipping through in about 4 minutes?
Moo.
yea, pity it was a glitch speed run, they take a bit out of it...but still impressive.
Insane... at this speed I would hardly say it contains spoilers! So much natural gameplay left out like the cloaking female ninjas... ah happy days. I'd say the most amazing thing looking back at HL1 was the level design and sheer scope of it all - a breath-taking labour of love.
