Re: News - Rockstar announces GTA V for next-gen consoles and PC

About time. Had they released on PC alongside the PS3 and X360, I would've happily paid full whack, but this late in the game, I'm not so sure. I'll probably bite at around £20, but there's no way I'm handing over £40.

Mind you, I haven't paid more than £20 for a game in a very, very long time.

Trouble is I seen loads of people already play this, seen all the missions and game play. Unless it is £20 (hope under) I will now pass on this game.

I am more excited about Spintires coming out on the 12th :-D

This was a nice surprise, I watched all the conferences yesterday well into this morning, making a mental note of the games I will be buying for my PC, soon as this got announced my mental notes exploded into hype, I completed this for the Xbox 360 version and it's a brilliant game, can't wait to see what ridiculous mods are created for it and one thing is for sure, it's a great time to be a Gamer.

Re: News - Rockstar announces GTA V for next-gen consoles and PC

12 months too late for me

Granted i've not finished it on the PS3 yet but i will do at some point. I was going to hold off and wait for the XBO version, but 12 months was too long to wait. I suspect a lot of people will be in a similar boat, and although GTA is a lot of fun I don't feel that it justifies a second purchase and a full replay without any of the unlocks. It looks pretty darn good on the PS3 already so the graphics boost isn't enough.

The exception would be if they released it on XBO with ALL of the DLC included, and if that DLC included a good chunk of genuine new content rather than just extra cars/guns/outfits or more multiplayer stuff that no-one really cares about in the GTA world. Then you'd probably have a buyer here

Re: News - Rockstar announces GTA V for next-gen consoles and PC

I guess they will get a lot of lost sales due to the release time-frame. I am sure it won't bother them too much though as they have already sold a ton of copies and will sell a load more on XBO and PS4 when they release it, with many people double-dipping.

Re: News - Rockstar announces GTA V for next-gen consoles and PC

It'll be interesting to see the sales, and whether they'll have fewer sales than expected due to the release timeline. I know with Wii U whenever this happens, they blame the Wii U owners like "Well Wii U owners just don't like this type of game and so we'll stop making it for Wii U", so I'm curious what will be said if/when sales are lower this time around for PC/XOne/PS4. Then again, unlike Wii U, devs seems to have a love for the other guys, so no doubt they'll release extra stuff to entice people and re-hype it.

Amazon Germany had the release date up yesterday (tuesday) morning, but removed it after a few hours (and upped the price too -.-)

I got it on XBOX 360 and still haven't finished it, not to say its because its a bad game, i have just always had better things to do. So far Im really enjoying it and might get it on PC as well if the multiplayer is any good.

The announcement could've come sooner but it does look good. £45 for an 'old' game with some new content is a touch steep, wont be paying that for this out of principle it took so long.
