Nice press release about the 5430, but is that even coming to the UK?
It looks really like an iphone in that picture but it is better looking than an iphone too.
Ooh, new shiny efficient SoC and then... Samsung think that allows them to massively shrink their batteries. Nope, nope, that's not how this works. Phones can be 10mm thick and that's fine so long as they have decent battery life! You can try all you want to do that with SoC improvements alone but a screen still draws power and that amount isn't dropping, so you will need a big battery. Simple as that.
lack of mSD card and small battery would make me steer clear. if this is potentially the state of the next S model i won't be upgrading i suspect. The LG G3 looks appealing at present.
Lower resolution so easier to drive, yes though how much of a difference that makes I don't know, I've only seen the numbers for 1920x1080 vs 2560x1440 (Oppo Find 7a vs 7, 7 hours of web browsing down to 5 is pretty noticeable). It is still a 4.7" space with light coming out of it though, so it should draw pretty much the same power to produce the same light output as any other 4.7" display and that is my point. We'll have to wait and see but if I were looking to buy it I'd be worried about battery life.
We all moan about battery life but continue to buy phones that are not great improvements...
Guess the lightness and thinness is moaned about more
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
