I purchased an XFX 295X2 from overclockers on 'black Friday' (28/11/14) for £480. If the price remains the same or decreases, more then I am going to buy another one and xfire these two bad boys.
That's a great price, would definitely go for one of these if I had a 4k monitor.
Badbonji and JackBeePee. Thanks guys but perhaps I should hold fire and just wait for the new 380X and 390X which are only 2 months away. I'm planning to get a 4k freesync monitor too. Better start saving up now. Was initially going to get 970 or 980 SLI but the problem is that Nvidia gpu's will not be compatible with AMD Freesync tech even though AMD offered to make Freesync compatible. Very disappointing behaviour from Nvidia, so screw them!. AMD Freesync monitors (60Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz and 4k) will be much cheaper than NVidia G-Sync monitors. Samsung already signed a deal with AMD for next gen monitors. Other companies following suit.
390 is going to better it if the rumors about triple the bandwidth and double the shaders are true
I was tempted at £700, and very tempted at £500! However, I am awating delivery of a replacement for an RMA'd board, so I'll have a GTX980 OC and that should last me for a while. Maybe the 395X2 will be my next upgrade in a year or two, who knows
