    Nvidia reportedly working on Tegra X1 powered Shield tablet

    For gaming, I'd much rather have an update for the regular Shield. Separating the controller and tablet effectively kills any usage on the go where you do not have a nice stable table available with enough space to put the tablet on. Plus being a bit chunkier allows for forced air cooling for better performance, and a thicker battery.

    I got a shield tablet last month and you are right about everything you say. The only downside to the first shield for me was the screen being too small but at least you could get away from your desk and go lye in bed or something to finish a game, with the tablet you still have to sit at your desk !
