I use a HP MicroServer with 4x 2TB HDDs in it. I've been tempted to upgrade to a dedicated synology box but I don't use it enough these days.

I use a Lenovo E50-00 quad core(Ebuyer for £150) and a brace of USB 3 Drives myself - It's also a Plex Media Server
YEs I use a Synology DS 1513+ with 5 3 tB drives for now, will upgrade those to 4TB each as needed. It is wonderfully powerful and responsive.
Seagate Goflex home. Originally 2 x 1TB but this is less easy to configure so now just one 2TB drive. Works well but runs much hotter than I would like. So far I have had to replace one HDD.
Thecus N4800 4x3TB in RAID 5 and Buffalo LinkStation with 2TB
No. I periodically consider it, but then realise I can't justify the expense for the minimal advantage I'd gain.
Got a server 2012 R2 box that does file sharing, hosts my VMs when I want to tinker and runs some basic home network services. Old but reasonably power efficient pair of Xeons.
No, I don't have a NAS at home. I'd like to but it's not in my priority list.-
Yes, I have a home built pc (dual core, 4gb ram) using old parts and items I've bought from hexus members. It runs FreeNas.
It has a dell raid 5 card with 4 x 500gb disks (raid 5), 2 1tb (mirror) and a raptor drive for the os.
I also bought a 4 port Ethernet card from ebay, plus the motherboard has 2 ports. All 6 ports are teamed (link aggregation) to my managed switch for extra pointlessness.
I have an 24tb unraid server, hosting sab, sickbeard and plex. Its nice and quick but not that energy efficient, something to do with 3 x 500w psu supplies but it is something that I need to work on over the next year.
Yes I do, Asustor AS-302T with (2x)4TB WD Reds. I have a large collection of purchased DVDs/Bluerays that I've assembled over the years and needed a safe place to put. Also had lots of Photos/Videos of the familia too. I have come to love this little AS-302T workhorse! I do my PC/Mac backups unto it as well. I've backed up my Music too and able to stream it to my phone. I love how I am able to stream my phone's photos/videos to the NAS remotely (From Costa Rica and anywhere in US). Every household should have a NAS and I forsee this happening soon.
