I didn't connect with Fallout 3 when I bought it way back and essentially just stopped playing it.
I think I will go back and try again now that I am more familiar with the Bethesda style.

It's been over 6 years since the Fallout 3 launch, so a Fallout 4 launch might be more likely. Another elder scrolls game (skyrim sequel) would clash with Elder scrolls online.
I appreciate your point but talking for me alone, I would buy a new Elder Scrolls game (Steam/Disc) but won't buy in to the online MMO because I prefer the single player games that don't constantly badger me to purchase "improvements". (Also getting my a*** throughly kicked by 11-12 yo kids doesn't appeal)

Fully expecting them to say "Fallout Online" (MMORPG)........ However another Elder Scrolls game would be rather nice.
Can't do that - their legal agreement with Intrplay permanently killed any game titled Fallout Online. Black Isle is still working on Project V13 (the original FO project) but they're having to strip out all reference to Fallout. There's also a couple of fan made Fallout MMO's out there, all based on 1, 2 and Tactics, including the original graphics style.

I sort of doubt that ES:O is a consideration anymore, since it's going B2P (if not totally F2P). There's simply not enough that they can do to bring that game to the level they were hoping for.
Personally hoping for Fallout 4 - love the Elder Scrolls series, but the Vault dweller needs some new love.

started playing fallout: new vegas with mods again and i'd forgotten how good it is, so a Fallout 4 announcement would be most welcome
There has got to be a Fallout 4 announcement. I doubt it will be as exciting as a Fallout game set in Boston Lincolnshire which frankly sounds amazing.
I think 'Fallout vs Skyrim' would make a great game!
