Yes, always. Without preinstalled third-party software Win works better and i don't need that trial antivirus, fake ad-blockerŅ and battery optimisers
I did, but thankfully I had the old system backed up, because apparently Lenovo doesn't put the three actually useful programs on their site for download. -_-
I got a budget Lenovo laptop with Win 8. I wanted to clean install Windows 7 but it turns out Lenovo refused to provide drivers for 7. Since then I won't touch any laptop made by Lenovo.
To answer the question though I will always install fresh, because who knows what crapware the vendor embedded into the Windows install, and uninstalling rarely gets rid of it completely. Mostly it's full of junk apps that either are third party junk or crappy utilities nobody needs. I prefer to choose what goes onto my system.
No. I install Linux
Yep, always format and clean install. I've never left it as it has arrived from the factory. This was way before any spyware revelations.
Yes always - unless I buy it from Novatech then it has 0% bloatware!
Generally I would clean install but some companies are now making 'clean install' a point of differentiation... Microsoft store for example
always and pass on HP also they lock the OS as well as my zd7000 HP cannot run win 7 even thought has the horsepower and that do to no driver support at all even thought vista came out a year later and no drivers for that ether
by the way I did get a new HP laptop and sent it back as 8 was the only OS it would take and I hate that dam tablet version
allways, it improves performance so why not
Yup. Fresh install straight on.
Always get fed up with the extra crap vendors will try and shove on, full of awful pop ups, boot time hobblers, or 'features' I just don't care about on my laptops.
PC's I've always built myself so I've never had that issue.
If I bought prebuilts I would. I'll probably reformat for my sister this summer when she gets her college laptop.
I always do a clean install, I hate Windows 8.1 with a passion and Windows 10 looks no different with no improvements to the operating system what so ever, Windows 7 everytime and all the time and if they stop supporting Windows 7 then poof Goodbye Microsoft I am not interested in your Fisher Price interface and spying nosey cloud services at an over inflated cost, It will be Ubuntu for me from that day forward.
