I'm really looking forward to this... delays are a bit of a pain, but I'm reasonably happy waiting as long as we get a quality product at the end of it!

True, but I think a PC version forked from PS4 / XB1 will probably be much more enjoyable than one forked from PS3 / 360. In an ideal world obviously they would have coded a dedicated PC version but not many companies do that these days.

This is why you don't pre-order games. Either they release a buggy product or it is delayed for a long space of time. People shouldn't give developers an easy time by pre ordering game, but people are drawn in to what is essential "freemium content".

Either that or they want to make sure they do this properly.

Can see PC version being ALOT better. Alot more customising in cars than console. Draw distance will be far greater. Amongst many others.

That's far too logical. No they're being paid handsomely by Microsoft and Sony.

Re: GTA V for PC launch re-scheduled to 14th April 2015

Looking at the range of system specifications (and OS all the way back to Vista which seems odd as Vista 64 bit wasn't that popular) there is a lot more regression testing needed for each change than with just two consoles.

Perhaps this will change a bit on future games if DX12 does all it is supposed to?

Re: GTA V for PC launch re-scheduled to 14th April 2015

While I could be annoyed that it's taking this long for it to arrive on PC, stepping back a little I'd much rather that companies take their time making sure that the game is polished than rushing it to market buggy and unfinished (*cough* Ubisoft *cough*)...

This is why I only pre-order games on amazon, you get the cheapest price between the order date and release date. You also do not pay anything until just before they ship the game so Rockstar do not see any of my money until the game is actually released and I still get the pre-order bonuses.

Re: GTA V for PC launch re-scheduled to 14th April 2015

I'm not arsed about delays, it's not like I'll die if I don't get to play it (plus, I've already played it on console..most disappointing single player GTA to date, absolutely dreadful, but MP was fun), but they're taking the peepee a little bit now.

I'm more waiting for the insane mods that come about, rather than the actual game, gonna be fuuuuuun

Normally I'd agree, but the SP to this was dreadful, I'm actually only wanting it for the MP.

After GTA IV, arguably the best SP GTA had done so far, I found V to be a MASSIVE letdown. It was such a generic story, it was simply a way to spread out the various points of the game - mission, mission HEIST, mission mission, HEIST, mission, mission, END GAME HEIST. Bah

Still looking forward to this even though it has felt like an age.

The only good thing is the delays are saving me money, because i am waiting for gta to be realeased so i can buy a new graphics card
