Well, don't know about the rest of it, but the Photos app update is pretty good. Much easier...
It's not mentioned in the title but google now is getting an upgrade to 'google now on tap'.... I'm actually going to be with saracen on this one, that's too much of my info available to google. If it was limited to just google apps then fine, I could change my apps accordingly but from what was described it can scan EVERY program on android.... yeah no I don't want that, my work email can have sensitive nda material in it. Yes it's a 'touch to activate' feature but they're scanning the data and there is nothing to actually stop it being 'uploaded' to google for analysis later, if you want extra info then it's sent to google for responses.
You know you can just disable this right? Also there is no scanning till after you initiate the google on tap (via the button pressing) so it should be a problem really? Just disable it if you dislike it , personally its amazing and Google already has everything on me so why exclude the 1% of data I have left to myself, can enjoy so much more ease of use as its a brilliant piece of software, at work we all use Google Apps for business so i cant see any problems there either .
This I/O was probably one of the best Google has done, android looks set for a solid improvement in every single aspect which is nice
and where has it shown you can turn off this feature.... I still occasionally use google now for 'searching the web' from the homescreen but I don't want it scanning my emails etc (one of the reasons I won't use the gmail app for email).
And as 'solid an improvement' this os might be (I don't like the new app drawer they've added in M either, the size makes it's look like it's for kids) I'm gradually getting more and more drawn into buying a microsoft phone...
