A plasma tube is a high-voltage high-frequency device, so having a nice little RF amplifier right next to your DDR bus lines seems like a really, really bad idea for stability. Particularly for non-ECC consumer grade RAM.

    first thought is why.....
second thought was... if those led lights on the top of the ram could light up based on temperature they could be used as a 'warning' light if a rig got too hot

Honestly these aren't really for me, I'm not really into the blackpool illuminations being inside my pc case...

Watched a review of the RAM sticks, they make a buzzing sound... not ideal.

This just looks like will suck more power. I personally shut my lighting of unless I am showing of my pc. either than that I don't see the point in having to buy RAM in what I am guessing will be the same price a Corsairs Dominator Series
