Inno3D cards kind of look like the Transformers & will suit nice with Asus Sabertooth motherboards

Strange I look at the monitors screen when using my PC, never thought to watch the GFX cooler.

Nice to see more options, hope it helps the market stay or get better in performance to price ratios

I would settle for anything better than what I have right now even if it looked like John Merrick as long as it performed.

I find this card repulsive. But, I don't like to speak to others but I'm fine with assuming - like most people looks don't mean anything. It sits inside the computer, it matters what the games look like, not the hardware that draws it.

Maybe it's because I'm older and the people I know are too, but I just don't know anyone who even uses a windowed case anymore

In the case, I don't care what it looks like. But the 2.75 slots is a non-starter. It is kind of hideous, in a Hellraiser/Pinhead kind of way. You don't want to admit you like it, but it's still kind of endearing...

I wouldn't mind too much as I have a windowless case right now but if I went windowed again it would need to look right.

Avoid Inno3D at all costs. If your card develops a fault, good luck getting it replaced under warranty. And, your card WILL fail after a year

Surely you just return it to the retailer?

I have to laugh at temperature and noise results on websites where they don't bother to mention or record the room temp or intake air temp. Makes the results next to useless and incomparable. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a 5c variation between the cards in the table due to the differences in room temps over the past few weeks. Which would of course throw off the noise results as well.

Re: Inno3D GeForce GTX 980 Ti iChill X3 Ultra

I have the 770 4GB equivalent - still cuts through titles @ 1080p like a hot knife through butter - great results on the benchmarks here

unlike idiot above (comparing to argos jewellery) I am never looking at my GPU when gaming, what a prat

morons are out today in full effect - my 770 4GB equivalent has had no problems and still copes easily with all titles @ 1080p

But it's a blessing when AMD does it? Rather hypocritical. Marketing is vendor-agnostic.

But is there a way to make a custom fan profile? As long as it makes the same noise as my other fans, I don't mind prolonging its life span...it looks a bit warm in favour of silence...
