NO, want one but costs same as a healthy kidney
No, because you can only shoot them once, and that gets to be an expensive hobby. I find it far cheaper to shoot down my neighbors' drones. The reaction is far more entertaining as well.
Well, I guess if you consider that my tax money has paid at least a little bit on the thousands or so that are used by the US government, I guess you could say I own at least a small piece of the action, although I'm guessing that claiming ownership may just be fraught with its own set of perils... so we'll just stick with no.
No; and besides for photography, I cannot see the point in buying one.
I've got the kind that only has one horizontal rotor... does that count?
No - Too costly, I like GuldoLS's plan though!
I'm been in the process of building a Quadcopter for about a year now! I'm a slow builder!
With advances in solid state electronics which go to make up a autopilot to both guide & maintain level flight,
the skill has moved from being a proper pilot to being able to put one together & set up the electronics etc.
Even this skill is reduced and when an off the shelf drone is purchased until a major crash!
Quadcopter type drones would be impossible to fly without autopilot & don't require a runway!
One of these days my Quadcopter will take to the skies! Just ordered some radio control equipment for it off Ebay.
I thought you meant
No use for one other than chasing the odd cat off the lawn.
My uncle does to shoot videos. Likes to disturb the peace when going out to the countryside. It's ok, crazy expensive, does produce some nice shots but I'm content with a simple handheld.
No ... do not own one.
I do think it should be legal to own (without a license) a small missile battery placed in your property so that you can shoot them (drones) down ... and seagulls to.
Actually if you were allowed to have a gunship drone for the purposes of shooting down seagulls then i would be in favour of drones ... until all the seagulls are wiped out.
Picked up a Bebop in Hong Kong airport when they were on special offer!
I've been hacking up some new software for controlling it a bit better, mainly smoothing actions, but not had time to finish that.
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
No. And it seem I'll never get one becuase "unmanned aircraft weighing less than 20kg shouldn't be flown within 50 metres of a person, vessel or structure or within 150 metres of a congested area."
I own a Hubsan X4 Mini Quadcopter and that migth not be a drone but its fun to play with and isnt that expensive
